In the third quarter of 2024, the finance app market on Android in Italy demonstrated significant trends in downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.
Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade experienced a notable growth in weekly downloads, starting from around 29.6K at the beginning of July and peaking at approximately 46.3K by late August. Active users showed a positive trajectory, increasing from about 645K to over 732K by the end of September.
Postepay maintained a steady increase in downloads, with figures rising from 31.3K in early July to nearly 38K by the end of September. Active user numbers also displayed a consistent upward trend, growing from around 1.5M to over 1.6M during the quarter.
Google Wallet saw a gradual rise in downloads, beginning with 25K in early July and reaching approximately 33.4K by the end of September. The app's active users increased from about 1.5M to over 1.7M, indicating a strong engagement throughout the quarter.
PosteID had a mixed download trend, with a dip in mid-August followed by recovery, ending the quarter with around 32.2K downloads. Active users fluctuated but ultimately increased from about 1.4M to over 1.5M by the end of September.
Finally, PayPal - Pay, Send, Save displayed a steady download pattern, starting at 22.9K and reaching 26.7K by the end of September. Active users grew from 1.6M to nearly 1.9M, reflecting the app's robust usage in the Italian market.
