In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of Romania's top finance applications on the Android platform revealed interesting trends, according to data from Sensor Tower. These insights provide a snapshot of user engagement and app popularity in the finance sector.
Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade saw a steady stream of downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 40.7K in the final week of September. The app maintained a high level of engagement with weekly active users fluctuating between 594K and 655K, ending the quarter at 642K.
Google Wallet demonstrated a gradual increase in downloads, reaching a high of 35K in early September. Active user numbers also showed a positive trend, climbing from 132K to nearly 149K by the end of the quarter.
Salt Bank experienced a varied download trend, with a peak of 27.9K in late August. The app's active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 50K to 73K over the quarter, closing at 61K.
BT Pay recorded a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with an increase in early September to 23.4K. The app sustained a strong user base, with active users rising from 781K to 859K by the quarter's end.
George Romania had a notable surge in downloads, particularly in mid-September, where it reached 16.9K. Active users also grew steadily, starting at 355K and closing at 378K.
