During the third quarter of 2024, military games on the Android platform in Nigeria showcased varied performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated shifts in weekly downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 from Activision Publishing, Inc., began the quarter with weekly revenue around $4.9K, peaking at $5.6K mid-July, but then declined to approximately $2.3K by late September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 8K, reaching a high of 9.1K in late July, and closing the quarter at about 6.7K. Active users slightly decreased from 11.2K to 9K throughout the quarter.
War Thunder Mobile by GAIJIN NETWORK LTD experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, from $817 to $1.8K by the end of September. Downloads rose steadily from 116 to 374, and active users increased from 679 to 1.2K, indicating growing interest and engagement.
Call of Duty®: Warzone™ Mobile, also by Activision Publishing, Inc., saw revenue start at $949 and reach up to $1.5K by late September. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 500 to 700 weekly. Active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at 7.9K and closing at 8K.
Blood Strike - FPS for all from NetEase Games increased its revenue from $165 to $287. Downloads showed a significant surge from 3.3K to over 5.1K, with active users expanding from 15.9K to 23.2K, reflecting a strong growth in player base and engagement.
Lastly, Art of War 3:RTS strategy game by Gear Games Global exhibited a gradual recovery in revenue, starting at $194, dipping mid-quarter, and ending at $190. Downloads initially dropped but rebounded to 2.6K by the end of September, while active users increased from 3.4K to 3.7K, demonstrating a regained interest over the quarter.
