State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
The third quarter of 2024 saw varied performances among the top parenting apps on the Android platform in South Africa. Here's an overview of how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Find my kids: live GPS tracker from LETEM LTD showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.3K towards the end of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a significant spike reaching nearly 10K in early July, while active users ranged from 4.7K to over 13K, with a peak in early July as well.
Hearty App: Everyday Bonding by Pathfinder DMCC experienced modest revenue figures, with a peak of $325 in the first week of July and a gradual decrease thereafter. Downloads started strong at over 400 and gradually declined, closing the quarter at just under 100.
Huckleberry: Baby & Child maintained a consistent revenue stream, peaking at $308 in late August. Downloads were relatively low, peaking at 340 in July, and active users remained stable, ranging from 5.5K to 6.2K throughout the quarter.
Phone Number Location Tracker by Midgard Production saw a steady increase in revenue, reaching $303 in the last week of September. Downloads were consistent, with a high of 1K in mid-July, while active users grew steadily from 466 to 2.1K by the end of September.
Parental Control App- FamiSafe from Shenzhen Wondershare Software Co., Ltd. experienced fluctuations in revenue, with notable peaks of $394 in late September. Downloads increased significantly towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 978, while active users steadily climbed from 620 to nearly 1.3K.
