During the third quarter of 2024, the play-to-earn gaming segment in Nigeria saw varied performance across the top five Android applications. Here's a closer look at their download figures, active user base, and revenue trends, as sourced from Sensor Tower.
Lucky Scratcher & Play Earn stood out with a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 9K in mid-September. This growth was mirrored in its weekly active users, which rose from around 2K at the start of July to over 10K by mid-September, before slightly declining to 6.6K by the end of the quarter.
In contrast, Ludo - Win Cash Game maintained a steady download rate, fluctuating between 1.9K and 2.9K weekly. Its active user base showed gradual growth, starting at approximately 9.4K in early July and reaching over 12K by the start of September, ending the quarter slightly lower at 12.1K.
GAMEE Prizes: Real Money Games experienced a varied download trend, with a notable spike to 3.1K in mid-September. The active user count also climbed, hitting a high of 11K around the same time before closing the quarter at roughly 10K.
iMPL Game - Play Game observed a downward trend in downloads, starting at 2.2K and dipping to 231 by the end of August. Revenue data was not available for this period.
Lastly, Tropical Crush: Match To Win saw a decline in downloads from 1.7K in early July to just over 1K by the end of September. The active user figures remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 10K mark throughout the quarter.
