In the third quarter of 2024, the top shopping apps on the Android platform in Oceania showcased diverse trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the leading five applications.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire showed a robust performance in weekly downloads, peaking at around 141K in early August. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users consistently rising from approximately 1.2M to 1.4M by the end of September.
SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a mixed trend in downloads, starting at 24.7K in early July and peaking at 32.5K in early August, before gradually declining to 18.3K by the end of September. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 400K mark throughout the quarter.
Everyday Rewards demonstrated an initial surge in downloads, reaching 33.6K in the first week of July. However, this was followed by a gradual decline to 11.9K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users fluctuated slightly but remained strong, ranging from 470K to 500K.
Amazon Shopping saw a notable peak in weekly downloads at 37.5K in mid-July, followed by a steady decline to 11.2K by the end of September. Weekly active users initially spiked to 983K in mid-July and stabilized around 880K towards the end of the quarter. The app also generated modest weekly revenue, peaking at $469 in late July.
Finally, Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace had a moderate flow in weekly downloads, peaking at 17.5K in late July. Active users showed a slight increase, reaching approximately 216K in late July before a slight decline to 189K by the end of the quarter.
