State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the third quarter of 2024, the top shopping apps on the Android platform in the United States displayed varied performance metrics, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at around 831K in early July and peaking at approximately 1.1M by late September. Weekly active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting from about 11.1M and ending around 9.9M.
SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a gradual decrease in weekly downloads, from about 310K at the beginning of the quarter to around 214K by the end. However, its weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from approximately 3.2M in early July to about 3.4M by the end of September.
Amazon Shopping maintained strong weekly revenue, starting at roughly $2.8M and reaching over $4M by the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads showed a peak in mid-July at approximately 273K, with a more stable trend towards the end of the quarter at around 171K. The app's active users remained consistently high, hovering around 8.9M.
Walmart: Shopping & Savings experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from about 155K to 146K over the quarter. Weekly active users showed a stabilization around 7M, indicating a consistent user engagement throughout the quarter.
Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace saw weekly downloads peak in late July at around 139K, before declining to approximately 91K by the end of September. The app's active users showed a positive trend, increasing from about 855K to over 926K by the end of the quarter.
