In the third quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app sector in Europe saw varied performance trends across the top five iOS platforms, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how each app fared in terms of downloads and active users during this period.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 283K and 330K. Its weekly active users experienced a gradual increase, starting from around 5.5M and peaking at approximately 5.7M by the end of September.
Bolt: Request a Ride showed a downward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 272K and dropping to about 246K. Despite this, the app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.2M throughout the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a decline in weekly downloads, beginning at 98K and decreasing to 69K by the end of the quarter. Its active user numbers mirrored this trend, with a slight dip from 400K to 357K.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery downloads started at 104K and fell to 69K by the quarter's end. However, its active user base remained strong, fluctuating between 1.6M and 1.7M.
inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a gradual decrease in downloads, starting from 52K and ending at 37K. Meanwhile, its active user numbers showed a stable trend, ranging from 159K to 188K.
