In the third quarter of 2024, the Middle East's city-building game market on iOS showcased notable performances across its top applications. Here, we delve into the trends observed for the leading apps in this category.
SimCity BuildIt from Electronic Arts experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $6.9K in mid-September. The app's weekly downloads began at around 2.6K in early July and saw a gradual decline to about 1.3K by the end of September. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, starting at approximately 19.2K and settling at 15.4K.
Smurfs' Village, developed by Garden City Games, maintained a relatively stable revenue throughout the quarter, averaging around $1.8K weekly. Downloads started strong with 1.6K in July but gradually tapered off to just over 900 by the end of September. Active users exhibited a slight decrease, ending the quarter at about 5.8K.
Merge County® from Microfun Limited saw its weekly revenue begin at $2.6K, progressively declining to around $1.4K by the end of the quarter. Downloads witnessed a sharp drop from 2.5K to just 68 within the same period, while active users decreased from 2.4K to approximately 1.4K.
Global City: Building Games by MYGAMES MENA FZ LLC showed an increase in revenue from $1.7K to $2.4K by mid-September, before a slight dip. The app's downloads started at 859 and dwindled to 171, with active users declining from 3.5K to about 1.6K.
Finally, Puzzles & Chaos: Frozen Castle by BUILDING-BLOCKS NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED experienced varied revenue, hitting a high of $2.6K in late August. Downloads climbed from 96 to 201, and active users rose from 171 to 332 over the quarter.
