In the third quarter of 2024, the sports app category on iOS in Ecuador showcased varied performance trends. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, delves into the weekly downloads and active user metrics of the top five sports apps during this period.
1xBet: Sports betting saw a fluctuating pattern in downloads, starting with over 1.3K downloads in early July, dipping to around 724 in mid-July, and rising again to about 1.3K in early August. By the end of September, the downloads tapered off to 832. The app maintained a relatively stable active user base, beginning at approximately 10.4K and increasing to over 11.7K by mid-September.
Football TV Live - Streaming exhibited a downward trend in downloads after an initial high of 3.4K in early July, dropping to about 227 by the end of September. Despite this, the active users remained fairly consistent, starting at 8.2K and closing the quarter at 5.8K.
The adidas: Shop Shoes & Clothing app experienced modest download numbers, peaking at 954 in mid-August, and then declining to 564 by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, beginning at around 4.3K and ending the quarter at 4.2K.
El Canal del Fútbol saw a notable spike in downloads in early September with 2.9K, following a relatively low download rate throughout July and August. Unfortunately, active user data was not available for this app.
Finally, Claro Sports experienced a significant increase in downloads, peaking at over 2.1K in late July, before declining sharply to just 18 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 146, peaking at 2.8K in late July, and falling to 214 by the end of the quarter.
