State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
During the third quarter of 2024, several sports games on iOS stood out in Germany, showcasing varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these popular apps.
EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer by Electronic Arts saw a notable decline in both downloads and revenue over the quarter. Starting with approximately 21K downloads in early July, the numbers dwindled to around 17K by the end of September. Revenue also showed a downward trend, peaking at $126K in the first week of July and dropping to $93K by the quarter's end. However, weekly active users experienced a resurgence towards the end of the quarter, rising back to around 334K after a dip in August.
Soccer Superstar from Real Free Soccer experienced a consistent drop in downloads throughout the quarter, starting at about 29K and falling to just over 5K. Revenue mirrored this decline, decreasing from $530 to $249. Despite these downward trends, weekly active users showed some fluctuations, peaking at 104K in late July before stabilizing around 64K towards the end of September.
Kickbase - Bundesliga Fantasy, developed by Kickbase GmbH, demonstrated strong growth in revenue, especially in August, where it peaked at $210K. Downloads also surged mid-quarter, reaching nearly 19K in the week of August 19. Weekly active users showed a steady increase, peaking at 287K before settling around 235K by the quarter's end.
8 Ball Pool™ by Miniclip.com maintained relatively stable performance metrics. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at $19K in late August. Downloads remained consistent, with a slight increase in early September, reaching over 8K. Weekly active users hovered around 120K throughout the quarter, with a minor dip towards the end.
Finally, Head Ball 2 - Soccer Game from MASOMO LIMITED experienced a general decline in downloads, though a slight recovery was noted in the last week of September, reaching over 6.5K. Revenue showed a similar pattern, with a peak of $9.3K in early July, dropping to $6.1K by the end of the period. Active users also decreased, starting at 41K and ending the quarter at about 23K.
