In the third quarter of 2024, the education app sector in Spain showcased notable trends in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the top-performing applications, highlighting their market presence and user engagement.
Duolingo - Language Lessons saw a consistent rise in both revenue and user engagement. The app's weekly revenue increased steadily, peaking at approximately $129K by the end of September. Downloads spiked to 140K in early September, while weekly active users reached around 1.5M, maintaining strong user engagement throughout the quarter.
Google Classroom experienced a dramatic increase in weekly downloads, starting from a modest 4.4K in early July and escalating to 133K by mid-September. Active users also surged significantly, reaching nearly 2.9M by the end of the quarter, indicating a growing reliance on the platform for educational purposes.
Moodle demonstrated a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 53K in mid-September. The active user base grew steadily, reaching approximately 225K by the end of September, reflecting sustained interest in the platform's educational offerings.
iPasen showed a notable rise in weekly downloads, with numbers climbing from around 4.6K in early July to 36K in early September. Active users also increased, peaking at about 110K, indicating enhanced engagement during this period.
Stellarium Mobile - Star Map displayed a fluctuating pattern in downloads and active users. Downloads reached their highest at 28K in mid-August, while active users peaked at 48K around the same time, suggesting periodic spikes in interest.
