In the third quarter of 2024, the educational app market in the United States saw notable trends across the top five applications on a unified platform. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights the performance of these apps in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Duolingo - Language Lessons showed a consistent growth in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $3.5M in early July and reaching over $4.1M by mid-September before ending the quarter at $3.7M. Downloads peaked at 382K in late August, while active users remained strong, peaking at over 9.7M in the same period.

Gauth: AI Study Companion experienced a remarkable increase in downloads, starting at nearly 20K in early July and soaring to over 742K by early September. Revenue also saw an upward trend, culminating in $46.7K in mid-September. Active users grew significantly, reaching over 1M by the end of the quarter.

ClassDojo had a strong performance, with weekly revenue peaking at $2.25M in mid-August. Downloads were highest in early August at 546K, and the app maintained a steady increase in active users, ending the quarter with nearly 5.8M.

Canvas Student saw substantial growth in active users, starting at 5M and reaching over 17.1M by the end of September. Downloads also showed a significant rise, peaking at 493K in mid-August.

Remind: School Communication maintained a strong presence with active users growing from 1.8M in early July to over 5.1M in mid-September. Downloads peaked at 386K in early August before gradually declining towards the end of the quarter.
