In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on the unified platform in Europe demonstrated varied performance trends. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for the leading apps in this category.

Google Maps maintained its strong presence with consistent weekly downloads, starting at approximately 790K in early July and gradually declining to around 646K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating slightly but staying above 74M throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw an initial increase in downloads, peaking at 693K in mid-August, before experiencing a decline to about 410K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, reaching over 20M in mid-August and then tapering off to around 18M at the quarter's close.

Yandex Maps & Navigator showed a modest revenue increase, peaking at approximately $2.3K in the last week of September. Downloads decreased from around 268K at the start of the quarter to 185K by the end. Weekly active users remained stable, averaging around 16M throughout the period.

Google Earth experienced a slight rise in downloads in July, with numbers stabilizing just above 200K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed minor fluctuations but remained over 1.6M throughout the quarter.

Lastly, 2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation saw a steady decline in downloads from approximately 220K to 178K over the quarter. However, weekly active users showed a positive trend, increasing from about 5.3M to 5.7M by the end of September.
