In the third quarter of 2024, the top social networking applications in Tunisia displayed varied trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. Based on data from Sensor Tower, we provide an overview of the performance of these apps on a unified platform.
WhatsApp Messenger saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, which began at approximately 25.9K in early July and peaked at 72.3K in mid-August. The app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, fluctuating around 2.3M throughout the quarter.
Facebook experienced steady growth in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads reached a high of 77.8K in mid-August, while weekly revenue climbed to around $568 in late September. The app consistently engaged over 6.1M weekly active users.
Messenger showed impressive download numbers, peaking at 88.9K in mid-August. Its weekly active users remained robust, hovering around 6.5M by the end of the quarter.
Threads saw a gradual increase in downloads, culminating at 22.9K in the final week of September. Active users also grew steadily, reaching approximately 182K by the quarter's end.
Telegram Messenger experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads, with a peak of 28.9K in the last week of September. Weekly revenue showed growth as well, increasing to $156 by the end of the quarter. Active users were stable, with numbers slightly above 480K.
