State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
The third quarter of 2024 revealed notable trends in the performance of Egypt's top tools apps on the unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue.
SHAREit: Transfer, Share Files from Smart Media4U Technology maintained a relatively steady weekly revenue, starting at around $83 and concluding the quarter at approximately $67. Downloads experienced fluctuations, peaking at 272K in early September. The app's active user base hovered around 3.3M, with a noticeable increase to 3.5M at the end of September.
All Video Downloader & Player did not generate revenue during this period. However, it maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 115K weekly. Active users showed a gradual increase, reaching 1.1M by the end of the quarter.
TeraBox: Cloud Storage Space by Flextech Inc. experienced an initial spike in downloads, reaching 457K in early July, but settled to around 85K by the end of September. The app's weekly revenue varied slightly, closing the quarter at $210. Active users peaked at 736K in early July before stabilizing at approximately 249K.
My WE from Telecom Egypt also did not report revenue. The app saw a peak in downloads at 116K in late August, while active users experienced a gradual decline, ending at 2.4M.
Finally, QR & Barcode Scanner from Gamma Play maintained a steady download rate with a peak of 96K in early September. Active users showed growth, reaching nearly 559K by the end of the quarter.
