In the third quarter of 2024, Belgium's Tower Defense games market on a unified platform showcased a dynamic performance across its top five contenders. According to Sensor Tower's data, distinct patterns emerged in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.
TDS - Tower Destiny Survive, published by SayGames LTD, saw a remarkable peak in downloads early in the quarter, achieving approximately 11.6K in the week of August 12. Despite a decline in downloads to around 2.3K by the end of September, the game maintained a steady weekly revenue, peaking at $400 in mid-August. Active users followed a similar trend, with numbers peaking at 15.6K in the second week of August before settling at around 6.9K by the quarter's end.
Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD from MY.GAMES B.V. demonstrated a consistent revenue stream, peaking at $15K in mid-August. Downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 1K weekly, while active users experienced a slight decline from 14.2K to 12.4K over the quarter.
Kingdom Guard:Tower Defense TD, by TAP4FUN (HONGKONG) LIMITED, displayed fluctuations in its revenue, with a notable peak at $9.6K in early September. Downloads witnessed a sharp decline from 1.2K in August to just over 400 by the end of September. Active user numbers also decreased from approximately 4K to 2.7K throughout the quarter.
Plants vs. Zombies™ by Electronic Arts maintained a modest revenue, peaking at $64 in late September. Weekly downloads remained consistent, averaging around 700, while active users saw a slight increase from 4.3K to 3.9K by the quarter's end.
Plants vs. Zombies™ 2, published by PopCap, showed a steady revenue trend, reaching $484 in late September. Downloads experienced a decline from 1.1K in late July to around 643 by the end of the quarter. Active users hovered around 5K throughout the period.
