In the fourth quarter of 2024, the beauty retail sector on Android in Brazil saw significant activity, with several key apps demonstrating varied performance across downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the top five beauty retail apps based on Sensor Tower data.
O Boticário from Grupo Boticário maintained consistent weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 153K in late October. Notably, active users fluctuated, starting at 2.5M at the beginning of the quarter, with a decline to about 1.5M by the end of December.
Natura: Perfumes e Cosméticos experienced a peak in downloads of around 174K in late November. Active users saw a rise to 2.8M in the same period, before tapering off to 1.4M by the end of the quarter.
For Época Cosméticos & Perfumaria, downloads surged to approximately 109K in late November. The app's active user base also grew, reaching over 1M before stabilizing around 512K at the quarter's close.
Beleza na Web: Cosméticos saw a moderate increase in downloads, peaking at over 41K in mid-November. Active users increased to around 789K by late November, before decreasing to about 413K.
Lastly, SEPHORA: Maquiagem e Perfumes showed a download peak of 34K in early November, while active users rose to 331K by late November, declining to 189K by the end of December.
