In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top insurance applications on the Android platform in the United States showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at each of the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Progressive maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads ranging from 49K to 73K. The app's active users fluctuated, starting at 1.17M and peaking at approximately 1.45M in early December, before closing the quarter at around 1.36M.

UnitedHealthcare experienced significant growth in downloads, starting at 42K and reaching a peak of 146K by the end of December. Active users also saw an increase, beginning at 469K and ending the quarter at approximately 832K.

State Farm® demonstrated a steady increase in downloads, with a notable spike to 100K in early December. The app's active users rose from 770K to a peak of over 1M in late December, reflecting strong user engagement.

GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance showed consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 25K to 30K. Active users varied, starting at 712K and concluding the quarter at approximately 802K.

Finally, Drive Safe & Save® experienced a decline in both downloads and active users. Downloads dropped from 28K at the beginning of the quarter to just 2.8K by the end, while active users decreased from 595K to 155K.
