In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top five shopping applications on the Android platform in the United States showed varied performance trends. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at approximately 432K and peaking at around 490K in late October before settling at 415K by year-end. Active users showed an increase from about 17M to nearly 20M, indicating a strong user base.
Walmart: Shopping & Savings saw a steady increase in downloads, beginning at 157K and reaching a high of 234K in late November. Weekly active users also rose from 14.4M to over 18M, reflecting consistent engagement throughout the quarter.
SHEIN-Shopping Online maintained stable downloads, starting at 206K and ending at 146K. Active users fluctuated, decreasing from 14.2M to 12.3M by the end of December, showing a varying engagement trend.
Amazon Shopping consistently generated substantial weekly revenue, peaking at nearly $4.8M. Downloads remained steady, with a notable peak of 190K in late December. Active users consistently hovered around 35M, showcasing strong user retention.
AliExpress - Shopping App experienced a rise in downloads, reaching a peak of 206K in early November. Active users increased from 2.9M to over 3.3M, indicating growing user interest.
