The fourth quarter of 2024 saw notable performances among the top book applications in Italy, with data from Sensor Tower providing insights into their trends across downloads, revenue, and active users.
Amazon Kindle experienced a varied quarter. Weekly revenue showed fluctuations, starting at around $84.5K and reaching a peak of approximately $97.4K by the end of December. Downloads demonstrated a significant rise towards the end of the quarter, jumping to 25.9K in the week of December 23. Active users increased from 714K to 815K, indicating a growing user base.
For Audible: Audiobooks & Podcasts, weekly revenue remained relatively stable, beginning at $88.9K and concluding the quarter at $84.7K. Downloads saw a notable spike in December, reaching 17K. Active user numbers fluctuated slightly, starting at 782K and ending at 774K.
Wattpad - Read & Write Stories showed consistent weekly revenue, starting at $1.5K and peaking at $1.8K in late November. Downloads peaked at 12.3K in late December, reflecting increased interest. Active users displayed growth, moving from 335K to 392K by year-end.
The MLOL Ebook Reader app had a steady download rate, ranging from 1.7K to 2.3K. Active users showed a slight increase, beginning at 37.5K and climbing to 38.5K towards the end of the quarter.
Lastly, Feltrinelli maintained a stable pattern in downloads, averaging around 1.5K weekly. Active users rose from 26K to nearly 39K, indicating growing engagement.
