In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Europe showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride saw a dynamic trend in weekly downloads, starting at 559K and peaking at approximately 683K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated during the quarter, beginning at 20M, reaching a peak of 22.2M mid-December, and ending the year at 20.8M.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady increase in downloads, starting from 431K and climbing to 491K by year-end. Active users showed a similar pattern, beginning at 12.9M, peaking at 14.3M in early December, and closing at 12.7M.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery had a consistent download rate, with numbers ranging from 256K to 286K. Active users started at 27.3M and saw an increase, peaking at 31.4M before ending the quarter at 28M.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus maintained a stable download rate, beginning at 146K and ending with slight fluctuations at 130K. Active users reached their highest at 5M in late December, starting from 4.5M.
Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had downloads starting at 74K, peaking at 82K, and closing the quarter at 81K. Active users began at 1M, saw a slight dip mid-quarter, and ended the year back at 1M.
