In the fourth quarter of 2024, the food delivery app landscape in Australia saw varied trends across top applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.
DoorDash - Food Delivery maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 21K and 37K, peaking mid-November. Active users remained robust, peaking at over 1M in mid-November before slightly declining towards the end of December.
BWS on tAPP showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 45K in late December. Active users gradually increased, starting around 171K and ending the quarter with over 213K.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries saw weekly downloads ranging from 21K to 27K, with a slight peak in early December. Active users remained consistently above 1.8M, with a peak of over 2M mid-December.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a surge in downloads, notably in mid-November with over 63K. Active users increased steadily, reaching a high of about 80K in early December.
Menulog - Food Delivery had stable downloads, around 9K to 12K weekly. Active users fluctuated between 400K and 460K, with a noticeable peak in mid-December.
