In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top food delivery apps in the United States demonstrated varied performance trends on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the key metrics for each app.
DoorDash - Food Delivery saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting around 412K and peaking at over 501K by the end of December. The app maintained a strong presence with active users, increasing from 22.9M to a high of 24.9M during the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries displayed a steady download rate, beginning at 229K and climbing to 268K in the final week. Active users also showed a positive trend, reaching up to 12.1M mid-quarter.
DoorDash - Dasher had a consistent rise in downloads, with numbers increasing from 208K to nearly 273K. The app's active users also grew, culminating in over 4.6M by the end of December.
Instacart: Groceries & Food experienced a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 155K and reaching 169K. Active users rose steadily, peaking at over 10M in the last week of the quarter.
Finally, Too Good To Go: End Food Waste showed varied download trends, with a notable spike in mid-November reaching 292K. Active users fluctuated, ending the quarter with approximately 2.7M.
