In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top social networking applications in Colombia showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Threads from Instagram, Inc. saw weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 145K in mid-November. The app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, increasing from approximately 3.7M to 4.5M by the end of December.
WhatsApp Messenger experienced a notable spike in downloads, with a high of 316K in late December. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 36.7M throughout the quarter.
Facebook by Meta Platforms, Inc. had its weekly downloads peak at 320K in late October. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, mostly staying between $7K and $9K weekly. Active users slightly decreased from 26.3M to 25.9M over the quarter.
Telegram Messenger saw a consistent revenue stream, peaking at $6.1K at the end of the year. Downloads reached a high of 153K in late October, while active users varied, closing at about 10.5M.
Messenger, also from Meta Platforms, Inc., showed stable download numbers, peaking at 109K in late October. Despite minimal revenue, the app maintained a steady active user base, ending the quarter with approximately 12.6M users.
