Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Latin America Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Latin America was closely monitored, revealing interesting trends.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a consistent download rate with numbers starting at approximately 432K in early January and gradually decreasing to around 319K by the end of March. Its weekly active users began the quarter at about 31.6M, peaking mid-February at 32.7M, before declining to 30.8M by the end of March.

Google Earth experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 79K and reaching a peak of 116K in mid-March. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 1.8M and ending the quarter at 1.6M.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos had a notable surge in downloads in early February, reaching 201K, before stabilizing to approximately 46K by the end of March. Active users increased from 113K in late December to 179K in early February, then settled at 125K by the quarter's end.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer maintained a moderate download rate, beginning at 53K and decreasing to 36K by March. Active users showed a slight increase from 95K in late December to 104K by the end of March.

GPS Satellite Maps: Live Earth observed an upward trend in downloads, starting at 26K in late December and peaking at 52K in early March. Active users consistently increased throughout the quarter, reaching 134K by mid-March.
