In the first quarter of 2025, the MMORPG category on the iOS platform in Norway saw diverse performance trends across the top five apps. Here's a closer look at how these games fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Go Go Muffin x Maltese by X.D. Global experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $2.1K in the week of January 20. Downloads saw a general decline throughout the quarter, starting at 176 and dropping to just 4 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 127 to 64 over the same period.
Old School RuneScape from Jagex maintained steady weekly revenue, with a notable peak of approximately $1.1K in late February. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a peak of 79 in January before tapering off to 22 by the end of March. The app's active users hovered around 500 for most of the quarter, with slight variations.
Star Equestrian - Horse Ranch by Foxie Ventures LLC showed a varied revenue trend, starting at $417 and seeing sporadic peaks, such as $128 in late March. Downloads were relatively stable, with a high of 82 in mid-February, while active users saw a gradual decline from 258 to 180 throughout the quarter.
Kung Fu Saga: Martial Path by Watt Games saw a significant rise in revenue, especially in March, where it reached $396. Downloads were modest, peaking at 74 in late January. Active users showed a consistent engagement level, peaking at 124 early in the quarter before stabilizing around 89 by March.
MU: Dark Epoch from BUILDING-BLOCKS NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED had a fluctuating revenue stream, with notable peaks at $596 in late January and $306 at the end of March. Downloads were inconsistent, with a high of 76 in early February, but they dropped significantly towards the quarter's end.
