State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2025, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Europe showed varied performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride started the quarter with a significant number of downloads, peaking at around 682K in early January. This number gradually stabilized, ending the quarter with approximately 541K weekly downloads. The app also maintained a strong presence in terms of active users, with a slight fluctuation from 18.6M to over 20.7M by the end of March.
Similarly, Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at 490K and closing the quarter at about 403K. The active users mirrored this trend, rising from 11.3M to 12.7M through the quarter.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery showed a steady growth in downloads, particularly notable in March, reaching 320K. Active users for Yandex Go remained robust, hovering around 27.9M throughout the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus recorded a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 125K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar upward trend, climbing from 3.4M to 3.7M.
Finally, Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery faced a slight decline in downloads, with numbers dropping from 101K to 69K over the quarter. However, active users remained stable, closing at around 2.9M.
