In the first quarter of 2025, the dating app landscape in Switzerland showcased interesting trends across major platforms. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of the top five dating applications, revealing patterns in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat maintained its strong presence with weekly revenue fluctuating between approximately $265K and $363K. The app experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads, ranging from 2.3K to 3.6K, while active users remained steady, peaking at around 133K.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date showed consistent revenue trends, starting at $166K and closing the quarter at about $154K. Weekly downloads varied, reaching a high of 3.6K, and active users showed a dynamic range from 67K to 75K, demonstrating a stable user base.
Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends presented a more volatile trend, with revenue peaking at $82K initially and fluctuating to around $64K by the end of March. Downloads remained relatively low, from 1.3K to just over 1.9K, while active users varied significantly, peaking at just over 1K.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet experienced a steady growth in revenue, which rose from $52K to $70K. Weekly downloads hovered around 3K, with active users steadily increasing from 28K to 34K, indicating growing engagement.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat reported weekly revenue growth from $51K to $74K by late February. Downloads were consistent, ranging from 368 to 499, while active users saw a gradual increase, peaking at over 13K.
