In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications in Russia demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation maintained steady weekly downloads, ranging from around 168K to nearly 199K. Active user numbers showed a consistent increase from approximately 21.2M to 22.9M by the end of March.

Yandex Maps and Navigator experienced a gradual decrease in weekly downloads, starting at over 209K and dropping to about 151K. However, the app saw a modest rise in weekly revenue, peaking at about $4K in late February. Active users expanded from nearly 39.9M to 42.5M over the quarter.

Yandex Navigator recorded a peak in weekly revenue at $18.3K in late February. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with notable increases in March, reaching over 101K. Active users saw minor fluctuations but remained around 18M.

Google Maps showed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, averaging around 37K. Active user numbers also remained stable, fluctuating slightly around 14.4M throughout the quarter.
