In the first quarter of 2025, sandbox-like games in Europe demonstrated varying performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users on a unified platform. Here's a closer look at the top five applications:
Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw a notable decrease in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $6M and dropping to around $1.7M by the end of March. Weekly downloads also declined from 1.4M to about 796K. However, active users remained robust, fluctuating between 47M and 56M.
Minecraft: Dream it, Build it!, published by Mojang, experienced an increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $618K at the end of the quarter. Downloads remained steady, averaging around 150K weekly. Active users showed a positive trend, rising from 4.5M to over 5M.
One State RP: Role Play Online by CHILLBASE LTD had fluctuating revenue, ending the quarter at $308K. Downloads varied, with a significant surge to 221K in early February. Active users increased steadily, reaching about 808K by the end of March.
ZEPETO: Avatar, Connect & Live from NAVER Z Corporation showed consistent weekly revenue, closing the quarter at $75K. Downloads peaked at 158K in late February, while active users hovered around 780K to 840K throughout the period.
Finally, PK XD: Fun, friends & games by Afterverse Games saw a gradual increase in revenue, ending at $81K. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 202K in early March. Active users showed a slight decline, ranging from 1.2M to 1.4M.
