In the first quarter of 2025, the top shooter games in New Zealand displayed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at each game's trends according to Sensor Tower data.
Squid Game: Unleashed experienced a steep decline in weekly downloads, starting with 11.9K in early January and dropping to just 84 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar downward trajectory, decreasing from 9.6K to 3.4K over the quarter.
Call of Duty®: Mobile saw fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at $43.1K in mid-January and ending the quarter with $27.2K. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 2.8K to 1.7K. Active users showed a resurgence, increasing to 4K by the end of March.
For PUBG MOBILE, revenue peaked at $47.7K in late March. Downloads gradually decreased from 1.6K to 885, while active users fluctuated slightly, ending at 9.7K.
Free Fire x NARUTO SHIPPUDEN maintained consistent revenue, averaging around $5K weekly, with a slight dip to $3.9K. Downloads ranged between 1.2K and 775. Active users remained robust, averaging over 22K weekly.
Camo Sniper saw minimal revenue, with sporadic increases to $12. Downloads decreased from 1.4K to 645, but active users remained stable, ending the quarter at 17.5K.
