In the second quarter of 2025, the food delivery sector in the United Arab Emirates witnessed varying trends across the top five apps on the Android platform. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
talabat: Food, grocery & more saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 24K and dipping to 19.5K by the end of June. Active users peaked mid-quarter at approximately 1.21M before settling at 1.19M.
Smiles: Food Grocery Lifestyle experienced a notable increase in downloads mid-April, reaching 17.3K, while active users ranged from 275K to 329K throughout the quarter.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 5K at the start of April. Active users exhibited minor fluctuations, starting at 116K and declining to 97K by quarter's end.
instashop: Groceries & more showed a consistent download pattern, averaging around 2.5K weekly. Active users saw a slight decrease from 87K to 72K over the quarter.
Instamart: 10 Mins Grocery App had a steady increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 1.3K. Active users grew from around 1K to 5.6K, indicating a growing user base.
