In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top communication apps in Bulgaria revealed interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a breakdown of each app's performance.
Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at $112 in mid-May before tapering off to $28 by the end of June. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 18.9K, while active users saw a gradual decline from 2.39M to 2.19M throughout the quarter.
WhatsApp Messenger showed a modest rise in weekly revenue, reaching up to $21 in early June. Downloads were steady, averaging around 15.1K, with active users increasing significantly from 1.48M to 1.84M by the quarter's end.
Snapchat from Snap Inc. saw its revenue fluctuate, with a notable peak of $3.7K in late June. Downloads gradually increased, reaching 14K in the last week, while active users also grew from 356K to 372K.
Telegram maintained a consistent revenue stream, averaging around $5.6K weekly. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 14.3K, while active users showed a steady rise from 831K to 947K.
Rakuten Viber Messenger reported a steady increase in revenue, peaking at $7.4K in late June. Weekly downloads remained consistent at about 9.4K, while active users slightly decreased from 2.97M to 2.82M.
