In the second quarter of 2025, the top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in South America demonstrated varying performance levels in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
McDonald's Offers and Delivery showed a dynamic trend in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with around 241K and peaking at 376K in late May. Active users fluctuated, starting at about 9.6M and reaching over 11.3M in the same period, before tapering off to approximately 8.1M by the end of June.
Burger King Brasil experienced a moderate increase in downloads, notably reaching 179K in late June. Active users saw a slight dip from 3.5M to 2.9M, with a recovery mid-quarter to just over 3.2M.
The KFC APP (Ecu, Col, Chi, Arg) maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 100K weekly, with a slight peak at 108K in June. Active users remained relatively stable, with a minor increase from 700K to 788K towards the quarter’s end.
Mostaza observed a significant spike in downloads, hitting 82K in late May. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 677K during the same period, before stabilizing around 451K.
Lastly, Starbucks Colombia saw a noteworthy surge in early May, with downloads reaching 101K. Active users increased to 327K at this peak before settling at approximately 289K by the quarter's end.
