In the second quarter of 2025, the food delivery app market in Ecuador saw varied performance across the top platforms on a unified basis. Data from Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at the trends in weekly downloads and active users for these leading apps.
PedidosYa - Delivery App showed a strong start with weekly downloads peaking at 44.5K in early May. However, there was a noticeable decline towards the end of the quarter, with downloads dropping to approximately 24.3K by the end of June. The app maintained a robust number of weekly active users, fluctuating around 600K to 700K throughout the quarter.
Rappi - Deliveries in Minutes experienced a steady pattern in downloads, starting at 6.4K at the beginning of April and maintaining a similar level throughout the quarter. Active users showed growth, reaching a peak of about 119K towards the end of June.
Fiesta Cerca had a significant spike in downloads mid-April, reaching over 10K, but generally maintained a stable rate between 3K and 7K for the rest of the quarter. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, hovering around 50K to 60K.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 4K to 5K weekly. Active users showed a slight decline from approximately 218K in late April to around 161K by the end of June.
Finally, Tipti exhibited a consistent but modest download rate, averaging under 1K downloads per week.
