In the second quarter of 2025, the top food delivery applications in Kenya showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a look at how each app fared, with insights provided by Sensor Tower.
Glovo: Food Delivery, Takeaway saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at 18K and reaching a low of 8.4K before climbing back to over 10K by the end of the quarter. The app maintained a consistent active user base, peaking at 339K in early June.
Bolt Food experienced stable weekly downloads, with figures hovering around 5K. Active users showed a slight decline mid-quarter, but the app managed to close the period with approximately 71K active users.
Dial A Delivery 2.0 had a notable spike in downloads, reaching 12K in late May, although the numbers dropped significantly towards the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries maintained a steady download rate, starting at 1.3K and ending at 1.4K. Active users remained stable, averaging around 55K throughout the quarter.
Tushop: Quick Grocery Shopping showed a consistent decline in downloads, beginning at 495 and dropping to 203 by the quarter's end.
