In the second quarter of 2025, the health and fitness app sector in the United States showcased some intriguing trends. Here's a look at the performance of the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Planet Fitness saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 613K in early June. Revenue remained steady, reaching approximately $2K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also experienced growth, surpassing 10M in mid-June.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner experienced consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $160K. Downloads were stable, with a peak of 319K in mid-May. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter but remained around 3.6M.
Finch: Self-Care Pet maintained a steady revenue stream, with figures around $380K by the end of June. Downloads showed a downward trend, ending at approximately 126K. Active users, however, remained robust, nearing 8.3M.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter continued to be a strong performer, with weekly revenue consistently exceeding $2.5M. Downloads hovered around 140K, while active users showed a slight decline to 5.6M by the end of June.
Finally, Impulse - Brain Training experienced a peak in downloads, reaching 178K in early June. Revenue was steady, averaging over $600K weekly. Active users saw slight fluctuations but remained above 600K.
