In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top insurance applications in Australia showed diverse trends across downloads and active users, as gathered from Sensor Tower's unified platform data.
My Medibank experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 6.9K at the end of March and peaking at approximately 8.8K by late June. The app also saw a steady rise in weekly active users, from about 141K to 174K by the end of the quarter.
The AAMI App showed consistent weekly downloads, beginning with 5.2K and reaching up to 6.3K towards the end of June. However, its active users saw a significant drop from 180K in early June to approximately 54K by the end of the month.
Hostplus started Q2 with 10.2K downloads, which declined to around 4.9K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 100K mark but ended slightly lower at about 92K.
For nib, downloads increased steadily, starting from 4.6K and reaching nearly 5K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a strong upward trend, beginning at 27K and peaking at approximately 40K by late June.
Lastly, the HCF My Membership App maintained a stable download rate, starting at 5K and ending at 4.5K. Active users saw a significant increase, rising from 21K at the beginning of Q2 to about 33K by the end.
