In the second quarter of 2025, the European personal finance app market saw significant activity. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top apps in this category demonstrated varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users across a unified platform.
Splitwise maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 109K in late June. The app's weekly revenue climbed steadily, reaching around $44K by the end of the quarter. Active users also saw an upward trend, increasing from 2.9M to over 3.4M.
Saving Money - Budget Expense experienced a varied trend in downloads, reaching a high of 68K in early May before tapering off. Active users, however, consistently grew, starting at 10K and ending the quarter at nearly 69K.
Finanzguru - Konten & Verträge from Germany, showed strong revenue figures, peaking at approximately $208K in the last week of June. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a peak of 37K, while active users increased from 1.34M to 1.38M throughout the quarter.
Money manager & expenses from Slovenia saw steady revenue, ending the quarter at about $5K. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 35K, while active users hovered around 850K, showing minor variations.
Splid – Split group bills increased its weekly downloads from 17K to nearly 28K by the end of June. Revenue showed a gradual rise, reaching about $4K, while active users grew steadily from 436K to over 439K.
