In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of leading food delivery apps on the Android platform in the United States showcased varying trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
DoorDash: Food, Grocery, More saw weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at 121K at the beginning of the quarter and experiencing a slight decline to 111K by the end. Active users started at 7.8M, with minor fluctuations, peaking at 7.9M mid-quarter before ending at 7.8M.
DoorDash - Dasher experienced a consistent rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 71K and reaching 160K by the end of September. Active users showed a decrease from 1.8M to 1.7M over the same period.
Uber Eats: Food and Grocery reported weekly downloads starting at 77K, peaking at 94K, and settling at 93K. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, slightly increasing from 3.1M to 3.2M throughout the quarter.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste showed an increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 51K and peaking at 75K. Active users fluctuated, starting at 965K and reaching a high of 1.1M before ending at 997K.
Instacart: Get Food Delivery experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 64K to 42K. Active users also decreased from 3.6M to 3.3M by the end of the quarter.
