In the third quarter of 2025, the top sandbox games on Android in the United States showcased varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at each game based on data from Sensor Tower.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw significant fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $5.3M in late July before declining to around $3.3M by mid-September. Weekly downloads ranged from 145K to 197K, with a noticeable peak in late August. Active users started at 14.8M, experiencing a dip to around 12.8M in mid-September but rebounding slightly by the end of the quarter.
Melon Sandbox, published by playducky.com, maintained a consistent revenue stream with slight variations, reaching a high of about $21K in late July. Downloads peaked at 53K in early August, while active users fluctuated significantly, starting from 1.2M and dropping to 839K in early September, before rising again.
Steal n Catch the Brainrot by BMH VN Game showed a promising rise in downloads, starting at 1.7K and climbing to over 86K by mid-August. Revenue, although minimal, began to show growth towards the end of the quarter, reaching $192. Active users increased from a mere 1.4K to over 130K by late August.
Block Craft 3D:Building Game by Wildlife Studios experienced stable revenue, hovering around $1K, with a slight dip in early September. Downloads varied, with a notable rise to 35K at the end of September. Active users started at 135K, peaked at 192K in late July, and ended the quarter at 156K.
Castle - Make and Play from Monterey's Coast, Inc. had modest revenue, peaking at $87 in early August. Downloads remained steady between 16K and 22K. Active users grew from 108K to a peak of 170K in early September before dropping to 138K by the end of the quarter.
