In the third quarter of 2025, the top 5 shopping applications on the Android platform in the United States showed varied performance trends. Here's a detailed look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw its weekly downloads rise from around 208K at the start of July to a peak of approximately 648K by late August, before settling to about 438K at the end of September. Active users increased steadily, starting from 11.9M and reaching nearly 19.9M by the quarter's close.
Walmart: Shopping & Savings experienced a more stable pattern in downloads, beginning at 162K and climbing to roughly 200K in early September, with a slight dip thereafter. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 16.7M and ending the quarter at approximately 17.2M.
SHEIN-Shopping Online had a modest download trajectory, peaking at about 202K in late July and decreasing to 155K by the end of September. Active users started at 14.5M, saw a decline mid-quarter, and then slightly rebounded to 13.9M.
AliExpress - Shopping App showed a consistent increase in downloads, from around 93K to a peak of 187K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, starting at 3M and closing at 3.2M.
Amazon Shopping maintained a steady revenue stream, consistently around the $5.5M mark throughout the quarter. Downloads fluctuated between 119K and 150K, while active users hovered around 33M, peaking at 35.4M in early July.
