In the third quarter of 2025, the top social apps on the Android platform in the United States displayed diverse performance trends. Here's an overview based on Sensor Tower's data.
TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $10M in early August, with consistent figures throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads reached a high of around 564K in mid-August, while weekly active users hovered between 30M and 31M.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, culminating at about $606K by the end of September. Weekly downloads remained stable, averaging around 15K, and active users showed a gradual rise, reaching over 900K by quarter's end.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App had weekly revenue fluctuations, ending the quarter at $501K. Downloads peaked at approximately 67K in July, while active users initially declined but recovered to 860K by late September.
Facebook maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $473K at the quarter's close. Downloads increased from 198K in June to 239K in September, with active users consistently around 95M.
Lastly, Instagram showed a gradual revenue increase, reaching $455K by September's end. Downloads saw a peak of 406K in August, and active users remained robust, exceeding 53M by the end of the quarter.
