In the third quarter of 2025, the dating app market in Nigeria witnessed notable trends across the top five applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date showed consistent weekly revenue, ranging around $14K to $16K, peaking at approximately $16K in early August. Downloads fluctuated between 19K and 24K, with a peak of 24K in the week of August 11. Active users remained robust, averaging around 200K, with a peak of 219K in mid-August.
BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App experienced a decline in weekly revenue from $10K to $7.8K by the end of the quarter. Downloads showed an upward trend, climbing from 5.6K to 9K. Active users increased steadily, reaching over 26K by the end of September.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date saw a decrease in revenue, dropping from $8.6K to $6.6K. Weekly downloads started at 13.7K and decreased to 10.6K. Active users also declined from 127K to 84K.
AfroIntroductions: Afro Dating maintained a steady revenue flow around $5.5K to $7K. Downloads decreased from 19K to 12K, while active users slightly declined from 28K to 24K.
Veeka: Find Community & Fun showed varied revenue trends, starting at $3.9K and peaking at $6.8K in late August. Downloads remained low but stable, averaging around 130. Active users stayed consistent, hovering around 600.
