The third quarter of 2025 saw notable performance trends among the top five dating apps in the United States. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at about $11.4M in early July and closing the quarter with approximately $10.1M. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, reaching a high of 161K in mid-July. Active users showed a general upward trend, ending the quarter with around 7.6M.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Date saw weekly revenue peaking at $7.7M in early July before a gradual decline to $5.7M by the end of September. Downloads showed a slight decline over the quarter, with a peak of 141K in early July. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 4.3M.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date recorded a decrease in weekly revenue from $4.9M at the start of the quarter to $4M by the end. Weekly downloads remained consistent, averaging around 79K, while active users saw slight fluctuations, ending the quarter with approximately 3.6M.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat maintained a steady revenue stream, with a peak of $2.9M in mid-August. Downloads decreased slightly throughout the quarter, starting at 44K and ending at 38K. Active users increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 2.3M.
Hily Dating App: Meet. Date. showed a downward trend in weekly revenue, starting at $895K and ending at $643K. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 70K in early August. Active users saw a recovery towards the end of the quarter, climbing to 419K.
