Q3 2025 Performance of Top Maps and Navigation Apps in the U.S.

In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of top Maps and Navigation apps on a unified platform in the United States showed distinct trends in downloads and active usage. Here’s a closer look at the data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads consistently around 350K to 400K, peaking at nearly 400K in the last week of September. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at approximately 18.4M and reaching a high of 19.9M mid-quarter.

Lyft saw a steady trend in weekly downloads, ranging from 245K to 285K. Active users showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, ending at about 11.2M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, dropping from 245K to just over 207K. Active user numbers remained robust, hovering around 21M to 22M, with a slight dip in mid-September.

Satellite View - Maps - Radar showed a significant increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads surged from about 22K at the start of the quarter to over 61K by the end, while active users grew from 60K to nearly 148K. Revenue also rose steadily, reaching over $2.2K in the last week.

Transit • Subway & Bus Times demonstrated strong performance with weekly downloads peaking at 122K in August. Active users increased from 2.3M to over 3M during the quarter, and weekly revenue peaked at over $39K.
