In the third quarter of 2025, the social networking application landscape in the Czech Republic saw notable trends across Threads, Telegram Messenger, WhatsApp Messenger, Bump - hang with friends IRL, and Facebook.
Threads experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, starting strong with over 17K in late July, then tapering to around 10K by the end of September. The app maintained a robust active user base, hovering around 900K to 950K throughout the quarter.
Telegram Messenger showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at roughly $19.8K in mid-August. Downloads remained steady, averaging around 12K to 15K weekly, while active users saw a slight decrease from 1.16M to approximately 1.03M.
For WhatsApp Messenger, weekly downloads reached a high of 17.9K in late August, with active users steadily climbing from 6.3M to 6.7M by the end of the quarter.
Bump - hang with friends IRL had a varied download trend, hitting a peak of 6.2K in early August. Active users increased significantly from 36K to nearly 47K during the quarter.
Lastly, Facebook recorded a steady weekly revenue of about $3.4K to $5.5K. Downloads were fairly consistent, with a slight dip in late September. Active users remained around 2.6M, showing minor fluctuations.
