As the digital marketplace continues to evolve, keeping a pulse on the performance of top shopping applications is vital. Based on Sensor Tower's data, here is an overview of how the top 5 shopping apps fared in Europe during Q4 of 2022.

Vinted: Sell vintage clothes experienced a decline in downloads, starting the quarter with around 887k downloads and ending at approximately 461k. The app's weekly active users also saw a downward trend, from around 11.5 million at the beginning of the quarter to around 10.3 million by the end.

SHEIN - Shopping Online, another fashion giant, had a fluctuating quarter. Downloads initially decreased from around 623k to about 570k, then peaked at roughly 826k before ending the period at about 836k. Active users peaked at around 20 million in the third week of November, with a noticeable dip to approximately 15.1 million in the third week of December.

Amazon showed a steady performance in terms of downloads, starting with around 679k and ending the quarter with about 711k. However, the app's revenue had a slight uptick in the last week, reaching $514 after several weeks of no recorded revenue. Weekly active users were highest in late November at around 33 million, with a slight decrease to about 30.7 million by year's end.

Lidl Plus began the quarter with approximately 607k downloads, which gradually decreased to around 419k by the final week. The app's weekly active users saw a decrease from nearly 9.8 million to approximately 8.8 million during the quarter.

Finally, Zalando – Online fashion had an uneven quarter in terms of downloads, with a high of around 494k in mid-November and a low of about 328k in mid-December, ultimately ending the quarter with around 434k downloads. The app's weekly active users showed a significant increase from around 7.3 million to approximately 9.4 million in late November, before settling at around 7.5 million at the close of the quarter.
