The first quarter of 2023 has shown some interesting trends for Hack and Slash apps on Android in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a comprehensive look into how five leading applications in this genre have fared.
Honkai Impact 3rd by miHoYo Limited saw its revenue peak in mid-February with around $315k, followed by a notable decline to around $33k by the end of March. Downloads showed a slight increase from around 3k to 3.4k in the same period, while weekly active users fluctuated, ending with approximately 45k active users in the last week of March.
Netmarble's MARVEL Future Fight experienced its revenue hovering around the $100k mark for most of the quarter, with a slight increase to around $113k towards the end of March. The game's downloads spiked in mid-February with over 17k downloads, then stabilized to just under 4k by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a peak of about 94k in February before settling at around 68k.
KURO TECHNOLOGY (HONG KONG) CO., LIMITED's Punishing: Gray Raven showed a revenue dip to around $37k in late February, but it rebounded to approximately $57k by mid-March. Downloads remained fairly steady, with a slight decrease from 3.1k to just under 1.8k. Meanwhile, the weekly active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter with around 9.6k users.
Disney Mirrorverse by Kabam Games, Inc. saw its revenue fluctuate, ending the quarter with around $45k. Downloads varied, with a high of 5.3k in early January, then leveling off to 4.3k by the end of March. The weekly active users showed a modest decrease from approximately 43k to 33k during the quarter.
Lastly, Idle Berserker: legend of rpg from CookApps witnessed its revenue experiencing a peak in mid-January at around $66k, followed by a dip to about $57k by the end of March. The game's download numbers were volatile, with a significant jump to around 25k in mid-January, then a decrease to 2.7k towards the end of March. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at around 23k and growing to roughly 42k.
